About us
Rimon Winery is the exclusive producer of the world’s only 100% pure pomegranate wine with no added sugar.
Rimon Winery uses a specially-designed machine to open each pomegranate into a flower-like shape, scoop out the ripe, edible seeds, and crush them for their rich red juice.
The Nachmias family have cultivated a “super fruit” that is sweeter, deeper in colour, and richer in vitamins and antioxidants than other pomegranate varieties.
The world’s youngest Master of Wine and Waitrose’s very own wine buyer, Ken Mackay, says: "pomegranates are a big hit with Waitrose shoppers, so we are pleased to be the first UK retailer to offer Rimon Winery's Pomegranate Dessert Wine. This wine is a perfect after-dinner drink for the autumn. It matches well with fruit puddings, such as crumble, and will be a delicious accompaniment to a cheese board".
For the first time, we can now enjoy the ancient crimson fruit in the form of world-class, wines made from 100 percent pomegranate juice that retain the succulent flavours and healthful properties of the pomegranate fruit even after they have been fermented into wine. It is gold medal winning and have been very well received around the world.

In addition to exceptional clarity, rich colour and a distinctive and appealing flavour, pomegranates also have a hidden bonus: a wealth of vitamins and minerals. Long recognised for their healthful properties, pomegranates contain vitamins A, B and C, iron, calcium and other essential minerals. They are also rich in antioxidants that are beneficial for blood circulation and for the heart. Pomegranates are effective in helping to prevent heart disease, arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) and in easing inflammatory conditions. According to research recently conducted on pomegranate juice and seed oil by the University of California and the Institute of Technology in Israel, pomegranate neutralise free radicals three times more effectively than green tea or red wine. According to the study, 'If consumed daily, the powerful antioxidants in pomegranates may help to combat cancer and may also prevent hardening of the arteries.' The fruit may even help people suffering from ailments such as Type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. Studies have also found that plant-based estrogens such as those found in pomegranates, could help alleviate menopausal and post-menopausal symptoms.
